Sweatin' Bullets!

So this week was pretty crazy!

On Tuesday I hurried and got packed and then we headed off to Monroe. Once we got there I was able to ride with President and Sister Olson in the car all the way to Jackson. It was cool to be able to sit and talk with them for a while! Once we got to Jackson the craziness started.

Wednesday through Saturday we were on Exchanges with the Monroe Zone Leaders and the Hattiesburg Zone Leaders. It was fun, I was glad I had the chance to get to know them all a little better.

Sunday at the Jackson Branch. That place is so funny!  Everyone is so unique and has their own personality they are all so different. It was awesome! I am glad I have the opportunity to learn from Elder Steffensen and Elder Beckstrom it has been great the past few days! Elder Steffansen goes home next week and Elder Beckstrom will be my companion. He is from Eagle, ID. He is a funny kid!

I am pretty nervous about everything else haha, I don't feel qualified to be here.  We have to transfer plan this next week so that will be interesting to see how that works, we will be picking up the new missionaries next Monday and It will be cool to get to know President Olson better. I am excited for it!!

I am studying about the Holy Ghost and the role that it has in our lives. It is interesting the relationship He has to the Christlike attributes. They go hand in hand.  The weather has been soooo hot. It is so bad.... I can’t stop sweating.  I have baking soda, and that works pretty good keeping my shirts nice and white!  My toe is good, I will be alright. I don't want to go to the doctor haha..

Thank you all for everything!

Love you!

Big Day!

This week I went on exchanges with Elder Hougaard, he is a brand new missionary. It was fun, he talked a lot about the MTC and I thought its crazy cause that was almost a year ago for me!  We were only able to teach one lesson that day.

Wednesday we had specialized training with all the new missionaries and President and Sister Olson. It was a good meeting and we were able to get to know all the new missionaries a little better and help them with their concerns.

Thursday we were on another exchange, I was with Elder Harvey, he has been out for 6 months. He is a pretty good missionary and is a good teacher! It was a fun exchange.

Friday and Saturday we did a lot of finalizing our plans for Zone Conference.

Monday was the BIG DAY and I was super nervous. It always gets to me when I have to get up in front of people and teach. Overall it was pretty good though! Elder Peck and I did some funny acting and pretended to make a cake. We had the ingredients and eventually we just ended up throwing the card that had the ingredients on it away and kept going. The cake didn’t look like it was supposed to. We were teaching about following through with the plans that we made! It was pretty funny! Then we had a real cake when we did follow through with all of our plans and asked if anyone wanted some. We chose someone and Elder Peck ended up just grabbing a piece of cake with his hand and squishing it on his plate hahahah. Then he cut one out nicely for him. To show the importance of planning and specifically preparing for investigators haha. It was a good meeting everyone said they loved it!

I found out I will be getting transferred back to the Jackson zone.  President Olsen asked me after Zone Conference if I would be willing to accept a transfer to Jackson to be his new assistant. I wasn’t going to tell you because it’s no big deal, I was pretty surprised when he asked me though. I am not sure how things are going to work. Next week we will be doing transfers all week so I might not have very much time to email. I will be with Elder Steffensen and Elder Beckstrom and in two weeks one of them will be going home and I will replace him. I'm pretty nervous but it will be alright!  It will be fun! I am going there today so I can learn how to do things from him before he leaves!

It was fun Shreveport! I enjoyed my time there.  I am a little sad to leave but its all good.  I had to go say goodbye to some families last night and we went over to the Osburns and they were crying and stuff. They are an awesome family!  I will sure miss them!
The Wonderful Osburn Family!

I hope you are all doing well and are all happy. Its good to hear how everyone is doing!! I am enjoying the heat down here in The South...... Apparently its only going to get worse!  Crazy how fast time flies! In the words of my Granny "Anything worth doing is worth over-doing". So whatever you guys are up to give it your best shot!

Love you all!

Ps. What do you do for an ingrown toenail?

Happy Father's Day Dad!!
Hey Dad! Sorry I didn’t get you a letter or anything! But I just wanted to wish you a happy fathers day! I appreciate the relationship we have and all the help and support you have given me through out the years. It means so much to me. I wouldn’t trade the experiences we have had as a family for anything. So thank you!
Love you!

Back to Jackson We Go!

This week was definitely a busy one!

Elder Peck and I planned for Zone Training Meeting on Tuesday and figured out what we were going to teach this time!

On Wednesday we were able to teach and it went pretty well. I hope everyone was able to learn and take things back to their areas.  After that we took off to Jackson to go on exchanges with the AP's. 4 hours later we made it there. That night we just hung out and talked with them about the Zone and the mission and things we can do to help it out.

Thursday I was with Elder Beckstrom and he is awesome! He played sports in high school and sadly is a BYU fan but we had some good talks about sports haha. That night we headed home.

Friday we had a lesson with Jessica at the Kingfishers home and it was really good! It always helps so much to have a member there.

Saturday we had a really good day, we met some super cool and people that seemed really interested!!

Sunday we had a good lesson with our investigator Kevin and taught him about the restoration. After that we were heading up to our next appointment and when we got up to the house we pulled up on the curb and Elder Peck popped the tire on the curb hahaha it was so bad. We could just hear the air draining out of it hahahaha. So that was the extent of our Sunday! After that we planned for Zone Conference with the STLs.

The Zone is doing pretty good. They are working really hard! So that's good. The weather has been super hot so not fun haha!!  Overall it was a really good week!  We did some good work this week in our area. I love being a missionary! Its always such a blessing to feel like you have lifted someone up in some sort of way!

Love you all,

Elder Larsen Needs to be in Lake Powell!

This week was great! We did a lot of planning for our different meetings and then on Thursday we headed off to Jackson. We rode with Elder Hatch and Elder Bledsoe, both are super awesome!  Elder Hatch went to Layton and he said he remembered laughing at me when I got hit in the face there during the basketball game hahaha.

MLC was really good we learned a lot and I am excited to apply what we learned! Jessica is doing good this week and is essentially ready for baptism she just needs to get married.  We had President Olson with us again yesterday and part of today and it was good as always to have him spend some time with us!  He puts so much effort into what he does! I am so grateful for the gospel and glad I have this opportunity to serve!

Love you all!
